Within Range uses the engaging activities of fly fishing to help our participants adapt, heal, and discover strength and resilience in themselves. Our programs offer a very special kind of restorative experience: one grounded not only in the fly rod and vise, but also in the incredible healing power of camaraderie among similarly situated children and the mentoring and friendship provided by strong, caring volunteers.
We offer a progressive, three-part experience, designed to build skills, confidence, and insight—on the grass or at the pond, at the table, and finally on the river.

There is more to Within Range than Camp
At Within Range, we know the impact of connection doesn’t end when camp does. That’s why we offer free, year-round programs designed to keep kids supported, connected, and having fun — all year long.
We partner with organizations like Camp Kesem, fly fishing groups, Healing Waters and arts and crafts programs to create opportunities for children to come together outside of camp. These experiences give kids a chance to reconnect with friends, build confidence, and be part of a community that understands what they’re going through.
Throughout the year, we host an in-person gathering, along with other touch-points and activities that help carry the camp spirit forward — reminding every child they are seen, supported, and never alone.
