When a parent has cancer, no child should feel like they’re facing it alone.
Within Range takes youth and teens out of the waiting room and onto the water. Camps, fly fishing, day adventures and virtual meet-ups — built so kids can breathe, connect, and just be kids again.

When a parent has cancer, the whole family carries it — including the child quietly carrying more than anyone realizes.
Appointments take over the calendar. Conversations get quieter. Kids become careful. Within Range exists for that child: a place where they aren’t the patient’s kid, they’re just a kid — beside others who understand without needing the story explained.
For youth and teens ages 10–17 whose parent has or has had cancer, and who need a break, a friend, or a first cast.
Through these activities, we’re not just giving young participants a break from their challenges; we’re helping them develop skills and relationships that will serve them throughout their lives.

Fly Fishing Program
Learn to read water, tie a fly and land a first fish beside guides who make room for the hard days.

FishCamp (On the Rise)
One night, two nights or a full week on the river — campfires, cabins or tents, and a group of kids who get it without explanation.
1–7 nights · Supervised · All meals and gear included
Day Adventures (Emerging Strong)
Hikes, ridge trails and open sky. Short escapes that fit around treatment schedules at home.

Gear, meals, guides and mentors are covered. You get a day back; they get a day out.
WAYS TO GIVE
Programs are free for families because someone else covers the seat.
A full FishCamp week costs about $1,800 per camper, including all direct and indirect costs. Every gift, at any size, goes straight into that.
What families pay
Programs, gear, guides, meals and lodging are 100% covered. Travel is the one exception: we offer travel subsidies to any family who needs one, and ask families to contribute toward transportation only if they’re able. No child is ever turned away over travel costs.
