FLY FISHING CAMP
July 2026 |
On the rise
What to Expect
Your child’s safety, joy, and sense of belonging are our highest priorities. That’s why our camp is led by a dedicated team of volunteers and fly-fishing guides who share a deep commitment to our mission. We invest heavily in leadership development and training to ensure our counselors are prepared to create a fun, welcoming, and empowering experience for every camper
Our overnight summer camp is a completely free experience for children ages 10 to 17 who have been impacted by a parent or sibling’s cancer diagnosis. This unique camp brings kids together for days filled with adventure, laughter, and connection — creating a supportive space where they can step away from worry, ease feelings of isolation, and simply be kids. Most importantly, they leave knowing they are not alone.
❋ Intentional Structure
Intentionally designed around the rhythm of fly fishing—learning to pause, observe, and take the next cast with confidence. Structured as a gentle progression from skill-building to time on the water and shared reflection, the overnight experience creates space for connection, resilience, and rest.
❋ Collaborative Energy
Connection is a core part of the process. kids, mentors, and volunteers learning side by side—creating a shared sense of trust, encouragement, and belonging on and off the water.
❋ Expert FacilitationThe camp is led by expert facilitators with deep experience in youth development, fly fishing instruction, and trauma-informed care, creating a setting that feels both safe and quietly empowering. Through steady guidance and thoughtful presence, they know when to teach, when to step back, and how to help each child grow at their own pace.
Led by experienced guides who know how to hold space, encourage participation, and keep things moving with purpose.
❋ A Supportive Space
Our events prioritize comfort, safety, and respect—where kids are met exactly as they are, surrounded by steady adults, shared experience, and the quiet reassurance of time on the water.
Let’s slow down, take a breath, and get ready to be here—at camp and by the water
Day One
Arrive & Meet
As everyone arrives, we take time to settle in, get to know one another, and feel comfortable in this place. We’ll gather together, share a meal, and begin practicing our casting—nothing rushed, nothing expected. Today is about arriving, connecting, and easing into the rhythm of camp. The journey starts here.

Day Two
Set Intention & Look Forward
Together, we slow down and think about why we’re here today. We take a quiet moment to notice what we’re feeling, what we’re curious about, and what we hope to learn—on the river and within ourselves. Just like fishing, there’s no rush and no right answer. This is simply a chance to arrive, take a breath, and be open to what the day might bring

As we wrap up our time together, we take a moment to notice what we’ve learned and the friendships we’ve started. We think about how we can carry these experiences with us—on the river and back home. Camp may be ending, but what we discovered here can keep growing.
